On the 16th of October 2020 Dillon started his cancer treatment at the CUH hospital in Cork.
He faces a long road to recovery through the winter and into the spring of 2021.
Dillon is a wonderful young man of 27, he is autistic with special needs, he lives with his Mum Fiona, Dad Tim, his brothers Vito and Romy, and his sisters Sienna and Phoebe.
It's been a rough year for us all, especially for Dillon as he lost his disability day services at CoAction due to covid lockdown last march. He loved meeting his friends at CoAction but sadly has not been able to see them in a long time.
Now he faces a battle with cancer, but with his family by his side he will get through it, we all will.
Dillon is the most beautiful person in every way, he has only goodness in his heart and joy in his smile. He has been so brave through all the tests and diagnosis, he is truly amazing.
Dillons mum Fiona has campaigned against the many charlatans and Quacks who prey on Autistic children and adults, on Cancer sufferers and other vulnerable people for many years. She has had great success in protecting vulnerable people from the wicked fakes and frauds who continually try to manipulate them.
Now Fiona, Tim and Dillons family and friends will fight for and support him on his Journey through his cancer treatment.
We are raising funds to help Dillon and our family through the coming months.
We want to make Dillons life as easy as possible and give him all that he needs and wants.
His brothers and sisters are also isolating during this time, no school, no friends, minimal social contact as we must above all protect Dillon from infection.
They need support also, as well as tuition to keep up some level of education.
There is of course the costs associated with traveling to the many looming hospital appointments and long lists of medication. Thankfully much of the treatment is covered and the CUH is excellent, but there is always things needed which are not covered.
Dillons first round of Chemotherapy is over the next 8 weeks, at which point he will have another PET scan to determine if the treatment is working. That will be a very important landmark on his Journey. Keep him in your thoughts. ❤️
If you can help us then please know we are eternally grateful.
