Event 1- student challenge #ICC4JOB
All sport science students will be taking part in an assault course at home. This will consist of 2 minutes of press ups, crunches, and burpees followed by a 5km run to finish. In the weeks leading up to the event, we will be sharing videos and posts about the event and each exercise in the aim of teaching the public as we train.
Event 2- public challenge #999forthefrontline
This event will be open to the public. The challenge consists of each participant running, walking, cycling, swimming, etc 9km, nominating 9 people to do the challenge and donating 9 euro. This is a great way to challenge yourself physically during a time when physical events are limited. The students of second year Sports Science in UL would like this run to be a fantastic event to continue her legacy in promoting exercise and sporting participation among the general population, in particular young women who she worked with through the years.
We ask that you consider the work that these fantastic charities do every day, but particularly over the past few months, and the tireless work they do to help us in our times of need. Even the smallest donation can make a difference to someone in need and shows your gratitude to our frontline workers.
