Gaelic Woodland Project

We're raising money to make a forest in the centre of Ireland, dedicated to Eire and the Irish Diaspora.

Patrons will receive their own 21-year licensed plot which facilitates inter-generational cooperation and incremental expansion.

Our target is 50 acres (estimated €500,000): but this is an over-estimation.

We will purchase as much suitable land as possible: whether that be 5-acres or 50-acres.

100% of the money raised will be used to buy land. This is a no-nonsense vessel for people-powered reforestation.

This means we have no capital for marketing. Donate and share this campaign. Be a part of this movement!

So who will own the land?

Our patrons will receive their own 21-year licenced plot but the GWP will own the woodland to ensure that it is never cut down.

We've registered the Gaelic Woodland Project with:
the Company Registration Office (no: 659581) and the Charity Regulator (Submission No: SR7908).

We will use the Native Woodland Scheme Grant to fund the planting and fencing of the woodland.

The premiums will be used to cover operational costs (land registration etc.) and build our campaign for incremental expansion.

Woodkernes, Wolves, and Community:

The reforestation of Ireland is not a job for an individual. If we work together we can make something remarkable.

Together we will claim stewardship of the land and heal the wounds of history.

After buying our first site, we will network with farmers to expand adjacent hedgerows to create green corridors that link this woodland to existing old-growth. We will innovate and grow to facilitate the incremental expansion of the forest.

Our great-grandchildren will know a wild Ireland because of these seeds we sow.
