Help us to keep on helping.

Innumeris Education is a not-for-profit, independent, local mentoring scheme. Operating under Adam Molloy Personal Training, we work with 5th and 6th year students in Tallaght, Lucan, Clondalkin and the surrounding areas and help them to prepare for the Leaving Cert, third-level education and life thereafter.

We are a group of 10 students and graduates who work voluntarily with these students, meeting on a monthly basis. We make no money whatsoever from the programme, and do it simply for the passion we all share for education.

However, we have incurred several charges to get the programme off the ground. We have had to put each of our mentors through the Garda Vetting process, have had to alter our plan to work entirely online (therefore needing Zoom subscriptions, website fees etc.) and have had to front other general costs to keep the programme running.

We ask students that enter the programme to pay a €10 administration fee to help meet our costs. However, many of our students can not do so, and given that we work predominantly with students from schools in traditionally underrepresented and underserved areas, we do not feel it is fair to put any more financial pressure on their families than they already have.

Therefore, as a locally-ran, community based initiative, we are reaching out to our local community to help is in whatever way they can. Our target of €1,000 will help us to cover our costs for this year, as well as giving us some breathing room to improve the quality of the service we provide. We have many ideas of how we will expand and reach more schools and students going forward, however it will only be possible to do so providing we can afford it. Some of the initiatives that this extra money will be going towards funding are as follows:

- Running workshops with secondary schools on topics related to study skills, achieving goals and exam preparation.
- Expanding our network and being able to link up with more schools.
- Hosting an end-of-year event for our current group of students (in line with the relevant Government guidelines.)
- Investing in digital and physical materials that will allow us to improve the quality of our service.
- Developing a Summer programme from 4th/5th year students.

Our invoices are due to be paid in the New Year, and so we are asking anyone in a position to do so to donate any amount between now and then to help us keep on helping those students in need of our service.

This year has been tough for everybody– not least for students who now prepare for some of the most nerve-wracking exams one can sit after having missed months of school in the year previous. We want to do all that we can to make this year as successful and as enjoyable as possible for them– but we need your help. Help us to keep on helping our students. We will forever be grateful for it.
