Raising the Roof Appeal

Since it's humble beginnings in 1878, the Ballinasloe Town Band has never had its own home until it purchased the Parochial Hall on Dunlo Hill in 2019. An extensive renovation and refurbishment are now necessary to provide a safe and suitable venue for both rehearsals and performances, The reformed Town Band is in a stage of exciting redevelopment and growth and in addition to the Senior Band, there are currently 60 school children receiving expert tuition.

We are now asking our supporters, alumni, families and friends to support our "Raise the Roof" appeal by buying a slate for €50, and have your name recorded in our new bandroom.  You can even purchase a slate on behalf of a loved one and have their name recorded.  Of course, donations of all sizes are gladly accepted, and we will be grateful for any support that you can show us.

The vision of the town band is to enhance community spirit by providing music for all occasions in a community setting. It is here to educate and to entertain. It provides music on the streets and it supports any organisation that requests it. Such is the ethos of the Town Band...it is there to serve the town and its people.
