Remembering Brian on my 30th

I'm turning 30 this December and instead of worrying about all of the things I haven't done, I'm so thankful for all of the things I've been able to do. 

My big brother Brian didn't get any of those opportunities. He died at the age of 8 after suffering from Leukemia for several years. He was cared for by the amazing staff at the Mercy Hospital in Cork in the children's oncology unit. 

Every Christmas I try to donate a little to the hospital's charity to help fund the services they provide for thousands of children and families across Munster.  This year, I'm asking anyone who may have bought me a birthday drink in a normal year to donate that money to help a really worthy cause.
