Swim For Cora 2021 for Touching Hearts Waterford

Do you remember your 18th birthday? Beautiful Waterford girl Cora Griffin would have turned 18 on May 1st this year, but sadly she is no longer with us. Cora tragically passed away on December 27th 2017 when she suffered a massive cardiac event that ended her life suddenly. Since 2017 Cora's family have organised a charity swim to mark her birthday. Cora's family have chosen to partner with  Waterford based Touching Hearts  to celebrate Cora's life and want you to join the party.

We aim to raise €18,000.00 in memory of Cora, the money raised will go towards relocating services for children with additional and complex needs from the 47 year old Sacred Heart Centre building on Lady Lane to a brand new state of the art facility on the grounds of St.Otteran's Hospital. The new building will meet current and future service needs, while empowering children with additional needs and their families to develop to their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.

This May bank holiday weekend, we want people to celebrate Cora's birthday by taking a dip in the sea or anyway possible depending on public health guidelines and we also want you to donate and help us reach our target.
