Swords Celtic FC Memorial Garden

Hi All

As everyone connected to the club knows we lost several important and brilliant club members over the past number of months. In particular our founding member Frankie Monaghan and long term committee member Gareth Jones. In addition to these committee members we lost a manger in Jim Condon. It has been a very tough time for our club off the field of play.

The club has decided that in their honor and in the honor of past club members who are no longer with us we would build a small memorial garden adjacent to the clubhouse in Balheary. This will allow both club members and respective family members to go somewhere specific to reflect and remember past members who gave their time freely to their club and local community.

Given the current climate and no soccer for a considerable period of time funds have been scarce and thus we need your help in raising some much needed funds to help deliver this project for the club. We appreciate these are difficult times for many and we only ask what you can give. Every contribution both big and small is greatly appreciated.

When the project is completed and should restrictions allows us the club hope to have an official opening ceremony to celebrate these past members lives and for anyone else connected to the club who has recently passed.

At present the target is provisional and any funds exceed the target will not be wasted an will be put to good use for club development.

Should you wish to get involved then please contact Paul Gibson, Eddie Darcy or Louise Monaghan
